Reflecting on your past successes always helps to overcome the times in your life when you’ve had some challenges. Trying to stay motivated and not feeling discouraged and doing this by reminding yourself of the times in the past when you were able to step out and challenge yourself and then you can move on.  I always tell my clients that it’s very important learning from the past, overcoming past failures by recalling their successes. It will not surprise you if I tell you reflecting on your past successes as well as your failures can and will influence your future performance now. It doesn’t matter who you are, you will have at one time succeeded at doing something fantastic in your past; never forget those moments use them to remind yourself that you can achieve all your visions, dreams and goals. Of course, the reverse happens when you reflect on the many past failures before you start embarking on any new tasks or ideas; the sub-conscious kicks in and you start thinking about when things didn’t go so well in the past. However, reminders of happy memories can bring back very pleasant feelings from past experiences you’ve had, suggesting an intrinsic value when you remember and reminisce about your past times.
