You commit a great mistake by just waiting being re-active. However, if you go out pro-actively and do it consistently then success will come your way. Always remember that your time management and planning will bring you rich rewards. The choice is yours.

If you lack “Motivation and Self-belief” ; grit your teeth, clasp your fists tight in front of you, put your back to the wall and get to work!  Start NOW mixing with motivated people, read motivational quotes and books.  Keep away from “Negaholics”; then the rest is up to YOU, look very closely at your time-management. Your choice.

I was talking to one of my lady clients the other day, who was very down and low. I suggested that she looked inside herself and to find her own inner strengths and affirm to herself; “I’m very proud of what I am, of what I’ve achieved and who I am”. I will now just start being myself again. You always have your own choice. The negaholics will only drag you down.

You should work on calling 5 new people per day. Monday through to Friday. Introduce you and company, ONLY. Call them back 1 week later for an appointment. After Week 13 you could have made up to 100 new appointments. The conversion rate is up to you. It’s called; going back to basics and setting your GOALS. The choice is yours!

Having an optimistic frame of mind, it is vital as a basis for your happiness and also in providing the momentum and drive you need to fulfil your potential; that is, both in our personal and professional lives. Positive thinkers will see opportunities all around them; they have the energy and self-belief in wanting to chart their future.  So goal setting without a plan of action is like going to sea without charts and compass; we only hope we will reach our destination safely.  So the hard work we have already put in, thinking, doing our SWOT analysis and working out a time-frame will all be for nothing if we don’t convert it into ACTION.

Those written down short, medium and long-term goals should now be prioritised into a plan of action.  You should think about a nice sponge cake, if you try to put all of it into your mouth in one go; it won’t fit (or shouldn’t really).  Remember the exercise in Day 3 where we broke our plan into twelve months, then broke it down monthly, then down further into days. Well that’s what we should do with our cake; it should be cut up into bite-sized, manageable pieces.

By just taking one step at a time, by doing something every day it will take you closer to the goals you’ve set covering the next twelve months, which is only the short term goal you’ve yourselves.  Our medium term goals will cover the next three years.  After that we will know what we’re after.

You need to accept personal responsibility for staying on track. It’s not up to anyone else, just yourself. Your are the only one that will decide what you want to accomplish during the day. Unfortunately, life does have a way of distracting us from the actions we’ve planned, so use the reminders, resources and time-frames within your goals to keep your attention steady and focused on your short-term goals.

You should remember however, that you must live for the present and be grateful for what you have now and embrace it, looking to the future with open arms.  you need to prioritise by pro-actively seeking and bettering what you have now and work on the future journey ahead of you.

Lastly and most importantly, you shouldn’t ignore your reminders and should keep an eye on the time constraints you’ve put within your goal setting.  If you fall behind, you need to re-focus and re-adjust your course and efforts, you should update your goal-planning and change any deadlines. This will ensure that you change your work and rigorously make sure you keep yourself on track. As always “It is your choice”

Clients very often say to me that their life seems to be pressing in on them. I suggest to them to look to the people who have stood by them through all their trials and tribulations. You should start looking at life through a new set of spectacles, take stock of what you have and if need be give yourself time to reflect. Always remember that its you’re choice and tomorrow is the start of the rest of your life.

I’ve found that being Pro-active alone; the same as having a magnifying glass, alone, will not start a fire until its held in one spot continuously. If it is constantly being moved from place to place, nothing will get warm let alone start a fire. Therefore, we all must concentrate and apply continuously, effort in our daily lives. Tell me what you do to continuously survive; are you as pro-active as you should be?

Persistence in all you do, both in your home as well as business will develop and bring out your self-confidence coupled with a good mental attitude. If this is followed with consistent action, coupled with hard work, it will bring the success you’re really after, remember, “the choice is always yours”. Comments are very “Pro-Active” in building your business so don’t be frightened in asking for them. Comments are also good for my “Web-Blog” as well.

When they have the urge to stretch themselves and reach out to their full potential, then they will realise that they now have the keys that will unlock the door to their personal excellence.

Over the years I have found that failure to understand and adapt to change is one of the main contributory factors and causes of all personal failures and defeats. There is no one I have ever known become more successful without wanting and indeed needing to change for the better. 
Success in life as well as in business, requires constant re-appraisal, change and development; it should always be treated “as a work in progress”. Therefore the past must be erased, it’s gone, there’s nothing you can do about it, forgotten and discarded completely. Your future should be worked at and you should start planning where you want to go and how you will reach it. You need to anticipate where the direction of change will be coming from and far more importantly which direction you are likely to be going in. 
Then you should grasp the change with open arms and “Take full advantage of it”. You must learn to handle and manage change, to harness it and then to use it to your best advantage. You must learn to visualise change and deal with it, through visualisation and your imagination.

You should: -
    Plan your future
    Plan your targets
    Plan your goals
    Change your attitude

You need to organise yourself and adapt to a different forward thinking prospect of life. Start to seek positive goals. Unless you do, you will wander through life and will be constantly going round in circles always “Achieving second best”. If you want the best, you need to “Plan your Future, Set your Targets and Aim for those Goals”. Climb the ladder of success and “Be the best”. To be success in life and in the selling world today, you must decide from “day one”, “To Work Hard to Succeed”. I have found over the years that I’ve been in selling and running my own businesses that there are two words in the English language that are of paramount importance and need to be kept to the forefront of our minds all the time, they are “Work and Kiss”. (keep it simple stupid)
I have always noticed that when one’s attitude toward the product your selling is spot-on it becomes self-perpetuating and once you’ve got the sales ball rolling and providing you look after your customers and prospect clients very carefully, it should never stop. To make a success in the selling industry and gain success you should be always meeting and mixing with likeminded people. People who only want to become successful and like you, have.  “The Will to Want to Succeed”, especially if they truly believe that duplication is possible as well. 
Remember the old saying of
So my words to you would be, please, always try to mix with positive and successful people. You need to be with people who will duplicate what they see and hear and who will only follow others who are more successful than they are so they can emulate them. I have over my 40 plus years in business unfortunately met very many negative people. I generally move out of their company as fast as my legs and polite etiquette will let me! These negative people will always drag you down. Sometimes you can spend years with these people and not really know that they have been dragging you down. So please be very careful who you’re mixing with. I have to the best of my memory, only experienced this in my life twice with very negative people and now looking back, I really wish I had known then what I know now, because I would NEVER have let it happen. Let’s look at a few things, attitude towards everything is important; I place it alongside discipline and respect. It started when we were young. If we’re not taught discipline and respect toward others, then we naturally are going to have the wrong attitude as we grow up.

In sales if we don’t discipline ourselves and have respect for those people who are teaching us, then our whole attitude will be wrong. Only those who are brutally honest with themselves will really make it in the selling world today. This means admitting that it’s getting more difficult to “make that sale today”.  The obstacles we face in reaching success are everywhere. To name just one “Automated telephone systems”. They serve as an impenetrable wall, we don’t have the receptionist to deal with, which in my opinion is a great shame. The fear of making wrong decisions creates endless delays and false starts.
