I have been very privileged since my Heart By-pass operation in 2004 and being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2007 to have been able to help and support people over the last seven years. Meeting people who are facing challenges and adversity by being able to help them regain some of their self-belief, self-confidence and self-worth. I know personally the mental stress and psychological challenges facing adversity are immense, so being able to act as a positive role model and inspirational figure through face-to-face talks and my “Thought for the Day” blog does help people.

Belief is like a thermostat, it regulates what we accomplish in life. Look at the person who is shuffling round in mediocrity, they believe in very little so they will receive very little. However, take the person who is moving forward pro-actively and rapidly. They believe they’re worth much more and therefore receive much more. They believe they can handle those big and difficult jobs and of course they do.
