Gurugeoffrey has, from humble beginnings, despite formidable recent health obstacles over the last 13 years, has always been a man of action. He has been a climbing instructor, is a qualified sub-aqua diver and diving instructor as well as having been a member of the New Brighton Lifeboat crew from 1974 to 1992, (Having been awarded for bravery on a number of occasions!) This shows some of the attributes that have enabled him to be a success as a business leader, published author, motivational speaker and entrepreneur.
Gurugeoffrey has a wealth of experience, having been in business for over 50 years, working with a whole range of companies. Amongst these companies have been Arrow Chemicals, Acorn International, British Steel Corporation, Unilever, GKN, Camel Lairds shipbuilders, Cadbury’s and many more businesses. Gaining knowledge and experience and empowering people to develop their own “Visions and Dreams”. Gurugeoffrey is a fighter and will not give in, when questioned, he says “Retirement, what retirement?” His favourite expression is; “the glass is always half full, never half empty”. Gurugeoffrey proves through the power of having a “positive-mental-attitude”, positive actions and changing negative thinking into positive results, has been able to chase his “Visions and Dreams”. He then loves empowering others to run with them; he has by his creative visualisation and with his natural ability to motivate and empower others to release their full potential and draw out their own dormant and natural abilities.
Gurugeoffrey with his own creative visualisation and natural ability motivating others, as well as having always “walked the walk” not “talked the walk” leading from the front. In early 1972 he bought into a boat-building business in Birkenhead, Merseyside, United Kingdom, manufacturing boats from small 8ft dinghies and canoes up to 52 ft semi-displacement planing hulls, very exciting times. Selling this he went to work as regional manager for Arrow Chemicals so when Jim Farrow sold the company in 1979 he started manufacturing his own industrial chemicals. In 1985 he sold the company and invested the money, turning his 150 year old property overlooking the sea in New Brighton which faced the Liverpool sky-line into a Four Crown hotel which he sold in the early nineties. It was at this time he started to develop his ideas in helping other people in business as well as coaching and mentoring them.
