Time wasting in business today is one of individual choice. There are those who understand that it’s very important and a small minority who are in work; just for the money at the end of the month. We all work for receive our due rewards. However, I’ve always found that good planning shapes solid decision making and stops prevarication in the workplace. Time wasting whatever you do in business is generally caused by bad or no planning in the work-place, that’s why by excelling with your “Action planning”, will help you make a success of all the visions and dreams you’ve set yourself. Time wasting, we know can disrupt your planning; after all, “Time” is a moving constant. When each minute passes if we “don’t use it, we lose it”. We all have 24 hours in our days, so let’s make the most of what we have, and stop wasting it! After all, if you can clearly see where you are spending your time on things not of high importance and don’t matter, then you can do something about it, rather than just carry on as you are wondering where the day has gone. By empowering yourself and being very pro-active you will become true winner. All the years I have been in business and for the companies I’ve worked for and now as an Executive coach and published author, if I haven’t worked, I haven’t been paid. This is the same for you if you’re working as a self-employed person. How many of us have time wasted and shirked our responsibility and stolen “TIME OUT” in the working day either to the company we work for or our families but more importantly, to ourselves?
I often hand to my delegates and clients a month dated calendar broken down into 30-minute segments and ask them to be honest and fill it what they have been doing in those segments. Then look at the end of the month and adjust for the following month.
