In your life do you challenge yourself enough? I’ve found that, unfortunately society accepts mediocrity very easily, so as you can imagine, it doesn’t take much to challenge you very much to put you above the rest. So, I would challenge you to start by doing just one small thing extra but regularly and consistently every day. People will then take note of what you’re doing. You then need to work on things that challenge you; because this will expand your mind and in turn; make you think above everyone else. If one of your goals is to become an effective leader. So, you should continue braving your uncertainty and start building confidence in your own abilities.
You need to challenge yourself both personally and professionally by challenging yourself and come out of your comfort zone and start writing, yes, it sounds basic, but putting pen to paper isn’t always easy. It takes time, which often comes at a premium. When you have a spare moment, try to write and share your expertise. Actively thinking about your experiences and opinions can serve as a self-coaching session. But don’t write on a vast variety of topics; write more about less. This forces you to think deeper into a specific topic and challenge your beliefs.
Narrow your expertise. The people who stand out are those who have built a reputation as being the best. Challenge yourself to be the most knowledgeable in your discipline, people will then start to naturally think of you when seeking industry advice or thoughtful commentary. But don’t get caught up in the same dry topics or you could drive readers away. Apply your expertise as a cornerstone to talk about a variety of different topics.
The idea of challenging yourself is one of the pillars of personal development. By challenging yourself, you grow as a person and you learn to trust yourself more, which greatly increases your likelihood of having happiness and success in life. Some ways of challenging yourself though are better than others. The best ones in my view are the ones that meet three fundamental conditions they are the ones that take you out of your comfort zone without putting you in any danger and provide you with an intense, accelerated learning experience; and help you develop skills and attitudes that are highly valuable to you in life.
