Negaholics are all around us; they are people who have no direction in life and love putting you down; each week comes and goes; just like the last. Some of those you meet are inspiring, some are very dull and some are damned annoying, some are short tempered, some are intelligent and unfortunately some are not very bright. However, I have found that there are many people who are always willing to help you and I’ve come across so may who hardly ever want to help anyone. They are the ones to avoid. I’ve found negaholics are very often family and friends, who have the best of intentions.
However, they are so stuck in their way of life that they can’t see the wood for the trees. Optimistic people will increase your energy and always assist you and to uplift you. Unfortunately, there are far too many pessimistic people around us so, we must try to change those negaholics by treating them in a very pro-active and positive manner. Negaholic people are always trying to drag you down they always seem to have a perverse manner about them, you must be very careful and not get caught in their net, if it’s the first time you have met them, it is difficult (without being rude) to get away from them so, you must keep the conversation light, positive and if there’s a need and you can, change the conversation to something positive.
Please try to understand that everyone does have some positive qualities and more important most people want recognition and praise. So, by observing carefully you will find their qualities, which may help to slowly change their attitude over to a more positive one. You should try not to judge others too often as it is not a healthy thing to do, it could very easily turn you into the very thing you hate (a negaholic) even when you see the negative side in others, make sure you take a very positive approach with people. “the choice is yours”
