Speed-networking with a TWIST

Last night I attended the Chester, Ellesmere & Neston monthly business forum and with over 50 people but what was so refreshing was there were so many new faces. Everybody did their individual 15 seconds of fame and unfortunately most people took longer, it’s a pity networkers can’t gauge time more accurately! However Eric Hearn of Business Scene www.business-scean.com was presiding over the event. Eric was there to get us started on our speed-networking with a twist. This was the good bit; the twist was when you were going through your 60 second pitch you had to do it in the third person, as though you where actually giving testimonial on yourself, I must say it did take some minutes for a lot of people to understand but when it got going it did carry some power, the volume increased, the inhabitations where put to one side but overall I felt it was well worth doing. What was very good was that a lot of referrals took place. It was a very good team effort.
